Vikileria Couture Lab is a bespoke, signature haute couture service in Madrid, dedicated to the artistic creation and transformation of textiles with history. We work with our own methodology (the Vikileria Method), haute couture technique, and a signature design vision.
Every project is unique — because every story is different. No two projects are alike. They can’t be.
You tell us your story — where the idea comes from, what it means, what you want it to become. Together, we design the transformation: what to create, what to keep, what to add.
We deconstruct, cut, and build. Every sculptural element is made by hand — using the original materials alongside new ones integrated for the piece’s next life.
You receive a signature garment carrying everything you imagined inside it. We document the process so the story is told, too. One piece. Just one.
Our most powerful collaboration yet. A client from Iceland designed the cut and color through Atelier Mentoring — together we shaped a piece inspired by the icebergs of Jökulsárlón. It was then finished with cascading lace and professional Atelier Finishing.

A landscape, a trip, a family object, a fabric with history — we turn it into a garment with its own narrative, like the dress inspired by Iceland’s icebergs, or pieces and accessories created from fabrics that carry memory.

Lace, trimmings, and embroidery turned into a piece with 3D elements — impossible flowers, volume, texture. A piece that reads like textile jewelry, true to Vikileria’s signature haute couture.
No set templates. If you have a vision — even if it’s vague, even if it’s just a feeling — we’ll develop it together from scratch. The result doesn’t have a name yet. That’s the most interesting part.
A mother from Reykjavík wrote to us with a very clear idea: she wanted her daughter’s First Communion dress to be born from the girl’s own dream. Her 12-year-old daughter drew the dress she imagined — and from that drawing, Valeria translated the vision into reality, turning the sketch into a pattern and adding her own technical and creative details. The result was far more than a communion dress: a cobalt-blue satin gown that came to evoke the icebergs of Jökulsárlón, finished with cascading lace and professional Atelier Finishing. Coinciding with the piece’s delivery, Valeria traveled to Iceland — and the landscape that inspired the dress also became the inspiration for the content documenting the process.

A dress born for me, not for a client. Designed and made entirely by Valeria for a wedding in Tuscany, this piece translates the landscape — vineyards, golden hills, evening light — into white linen embroidered with roses. An exercise in total creative freedom: no commission, no brief, just the story of a place asking to become a garment.

It all started with a video. A German university student living in Madrid saw one of Vikileria’s transformations and thought of her partner — who had liked the same video. She proposed turning a vintage jumpsuit bought on Vinted into a birthday gift with a story: a sports bag made from a garment that already carried its own meaning. It didn’t start from her own memory, but from a gift idea — the first proof that Atelier Mentoring could work that way too: from someone else’s inspiration to a brand-new object.

A graphic design student from Madrid, active in fashion and styling content on TikTok, wanted more than to learn to sew: she wanted to build a real technical portfolio, with pieces she could show. Working with Turkish fabric — the same Valeria uses in her own internationally-inspired projects — she developed three pieces in parallel: a skirt made from scratch, a Vinted shirt transformed into a top and skirt, and jeans reworked with the same fabric. Three different techniques, one common thread: learning by doing, on real garments.

A 15-year-old student designed this project as her art presentation for school. She sketched a hoodie herself, with the word “heaven” embroidered on the hood and a strap-and-heart-charm detail at the hem. Vikileria Revive helped her turn that sketch into a real garment through Atelier Mentorship and Atelier Finishing.

That’s why Couture Lab — Signature Haute Couture in Madrid for Textile Transformation with History — offers four formats: from in-person and online mentoring, to immersive Retreats in Zahara de los Atunes and Madrid dedicated to the creative transformation of Mantón de Manila shawls, to having the complete signature piece created for you. Find yours.
You come to Madrid with your idea. We work together in the atelier over 2 or 3 intensive days. If you’re staying in Madrid longer, we can spread the working hours across more days. You leave with your piece created or transformed, and the story documented.
Whether you want to transform a garment or fabric with a story, or create your Signature Project from scratch, we design the project together and I guide you through the execution from anywhere in the world.
Over five days, you’ll develop a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by Zahara de los Atunes. Through my Signature Project methodology, I’ll guide you through research, design, and construction to transform a recovered Mantón de Manila shawl into a contemporary dress, combined with recycled leather — a sculptural garment that honors tradition and turns it into design.
Share this experience with someone important to you — a mother, a daughter, or your partner. Each of you develops your own project while sharing the creative process. Zahara de los Atunes is the backdrop: the light, the Atlantic, unhurried time, local food, and long walks are as much a part of the experience as the worktable itself.
The highest level of Couture Lab — Signature Haute Couture for the Transformation of Textiles with History. You entrust us with your project, and Valeria designs and executes the entire transformation — no participation required on your part. You receive a finished, one-of-a-kind signature piece.
We don’t know yet what it might be. That’s the most interesting bit. Tell us its story and we’ll find out together.
